skating, boasts one of the largest paved trail systems in
the country earning its title as one of the "top 10 places
to skate"!
Robichon's® Tour Ze Trails is a unique opportunity
to tour Minnesota's extensive trail system with guidance from
highly trained instructors. Plus, refine skate and terrain
techniques while enjoying Minnesota's natural beauty. Each
tour offers unique terrain and specific skill focuses. All
tours offer terrain negotiation, skating with others and communication
tips! Join the fun - Roll with us!
Skill Ability Level - Standard Advanced Beginner to
Advanced
Dates and Time: Sundays, 1 - 3pm
Tour 1 - April 20, "Urban
Tour" Lake Calhoun 3 to 6 miles; swizzles, grass
stop and defensive skate position
Suggested Prerequisite: Outdoor Skate Basics 1 and 2
Tour 2 - May 18, "Over
the Streets and Through the Woods"; Lake Calhoun
and Kenilworth Pkwy. 6 - 12 miles; dealing with intersections,
mild hills, ½ swizzles
Suggested Prerequisite: Outdoor Skate Basics 1 and 2
Tour 3 - June 22, "Rolling
with the River"; - Big Rivers Regional Trail; 12
miles; skating as a group, parallel turns enjoy the river!
Suggested Prerequisite: Outdoor Skate Basics 1 and 2
and Hill Management 1
Tour 4 - July 20, "Go
the Distance"; Gateway Trail; 18 miles; skating as
a group, stride 2, balancing on one skate
Suggested Prerequisite: Outdoor Skate Basics 1 - 4
Tour 5 - August 17, "Over
the Hills and Through the Woods"; Baker Park Reserve;
6 or 12 miles; skating uphills, skating downhills speed control
or enjoying the flow!
Suggested Prerequisite: Outdoor Skate Basics and Hill Management

"Steep Hill, Wooden Bridge and Picturesque";
Elm Creek Park Reserve; 10 miles;
Suggested Prerequisite: Outdoor Skate Basics and Hill Management
Tour 1 and 2
Tour 7 - October 19,
"Skating for Skiing"; Hyland Park Reserve;
6 miles; Getting ready for skiing. Ski turns down, herringbone
up or simply learn to deal with hills using Robichon's OSB
Level 3 skills!
Suggested Prerequisite: Skate to Ski - Green
Tour 8 - November 2,
The Sunshine Trail - Skating for Distance
GOODIES for our High Achievers Club - Receive 1 wheel
per tour from our sponsors! If you finish all 8 - you will
have a set of recreational wheels!
Rain Option:
Fee: $40 for 1 or purchase 4 for only $150 (Save $15)
