Kids Inline 1 (KI1)

kids Inline 1 (Levels 1 - 5) - Beginner to Intermediate (ages 6 and up) - Our "License-to-Drive" Program

Kids Inline 1 Class Description

Kids Inline 1 introduces the sport of inline skating (rollerblading), emphasizes safety, the use of appropriate equipment, and introduces the skaters rules of the road. We play many fun games designed to facilitate and reinforce skating skills learned. For example, children play "tornado" which teaches children how to steer their skates. The game of red light green light is modified by us to reinforce the childs ability to slow, start, and stop on skates (inline or roller). Other games played are wax museum tag, and air traffic commander, which assist the skate student in how to turn, stop, slow, and anticipate on skates. The child's imagination is utilized as we imagine being a car in which we learn to drive and drive well. When we succeed in skill development we progress as vehicle types eventually receiving a license-to-drive like mom and dad. The license-to-drive program is Robichon's unique skate curriculum that bests prepares children for safe and effective outdoor skating.
